Looking for a way to celebrate your dad this Father’s Day? Pittsburgh has a lot to offer dad’s during Father’s Day weekend. Father’s do so much for us every day they deserve a day completely catered to them that they can enjoy with the entire family.
Father’s day at the zoo
Take the whole family to the Pittsburgh Zoo on June 19, where all Father’s receive free admission for the day. Spend the day outside observing and learning about the beautiful animals at the zoo, a day your father is sure to enjoy. The costs for adults is $16, seniors $15 and children ages 2 to 13 are $14.
Virtual 5K Father’s Day Race
This father’s day activity not only supports a great cause but is perfect for those with busy summer schedules. For this 5K you can participate anytime during the month of June! If your dad enjoyed running or walking, this event is perfect for him and something the whole family can do together. A portion of the registration fee is donated to Soles 4 Souls, a non-profit organization that provides shoes and clothing to many people in need around the world. This is an opportunity for the whole family to get active and celebrate in a way a physically active dad will enjoy and appreciate.
There is one thing all fathers have in common, they love food. On June 15 all around Pittsburgh over 25 restaurants will be featuring special brunches in honor of Father’s Day. From burgers and beer to classy Italian, you’ll find the perfect cuisine your dad will love on Father’s Day. Visit open table and make a brunch reservation your dad will be in favor of.
