A Musical Christmas Carol
Does the lack of snow have you saying “bah humbug?” Get in the holiday spirit by taking the family to see A Musical Christmas Carol at Pittsburgh CLO. Performing December 9 through December 23 tickets are half priced for children ages 3 to 14! Bring the whole family to see Charles Dickens’ classic story come to life through this theatrical performance.

Ice Skating at PPG Place
There’s no better place to rock around the Christmas tree than at PPG place! Grab your friends and your skates for a day or evening full of ice skating all December long. Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for children through age 12 and seniors 50 and up and skates are only $4 to rent. You can get your fill of skating Monday – Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to midnight and Sunday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Polar Express IMAX Experience
You haven’t watched Polar Express until you’ve seen it at the Rangos Omnimax Theatre in the Carnegie Science Center. This classic story on the IMAX screen is almost magical. This is the perfect way to spend time with your children around the holidays. All aboard the Polar Express train now through December 31! Visit the event page for all showing times.

Crafts and Drafts: Ornaments
On December 16 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. you can create your very own metal Christmas ornament! Every skill level is welcome and basic skills will be taught by an instructor. Admission is $35 and includes all craft materials and two beverages.

The Nutcracker
For the 15th season, the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre will be performing The Nutcracker. Come watch Clara defeat the mouse king with the help of the nutcracker and her shoe! Performing now through December 27 at the Benedum Center you can experience the magic of this ballet performance for $28.
