Elite, Real-Time Training Facility 

Gillece offers initial and ongoing training and skill-certification programs in our elite, in-house training facility.  Large and roomy, the Gillece Training Center houses furnaces, heat pumps and water heaters, and other equipment for simulated learning purposes.  Technicians gain hands-on experience in a controlled environment, as opposed to practicing on customers’ appliances.

Gillece is second to none in the Pittsburgh market in terms of invested resources made available in order to produce the best local trade workers in a range of specialization.  Individuals from a variety of backgrounds, with varying levels of ability and specialization work on real-life problems on every major appliance brand under the supervision of the best service people in the industry and are extensively trained in customer service.

Ongoing Paid Training and Skill Certification

Paid weekly training classes, both one-on-one and group, are required of all Gillece Technicians, and cross-training is also offered.  A mentoring program is available to all new Technicians or those wishing to expand their skills set.  For example, a Service Plumber could gain experience in Heating & Cooling (HVAC). National industry experts are also selected and brought in for higher level learning.

Our trainers include Gillece’s most seasoned expert Technicians. Our General and HVAC Managers act as lead teachers in these hands-on training classes.  The interactive class style promotes real-time learning, and Technicians leave with the ability to actually perform the topic that was presented.
